The youngest soccer player to represent America on the international ground, Mallory is the youngest daughter of the Pugh couple. Her father was a field and track player and played football in his youth. Similarly, her mother, Karen, was a long-distance runner and a triathlete in her youth. 

Horace graduated with a degree in Business, Management, Marketing, and Related from Western Colorado University in his hometown. After graduating in 1987, he worked for many companies and gained extensive experience in the business development field. At present, he is the Business Development Manager at Caretaker Landscape and Tree Management.

Mallory led her high school team to a state title during her first year at Mountain Vista High School. And during her sophomore year, she helped the team to the state semifinals.
